Wine & Cheese Tasting @ The Overland Hotel & Saloon

Welcome to the Overland Hotel & Saloon’s 6th annual Wine and Cheese Tasting! We’re going back to hosting the tasting at 3pm – so plan on getting here a bit earlier this year.

It’s Wine and Cheese Tasting season again! We hope you are ready to explore a variety of wines and cheeses from the Napa Valley region of California.

Admission is $10/per person at the door – which includes access to all three wine and cheese pairings (All from Napa Valley), live music by Max Fischer, and an open wine bar with delicious cheese boards.

We will also have another Wine Pull this year. For $5 you receive a wrapped bottle of wine with the chance of pulling a bottle of Napa wine worth $40.

One Fly Tournament @ Spring Valley State Park
Mar 30 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Spring Valley State Park is doing a One-Fly Tournament starting at 10am and will last a couple of hours. There will be a $20 entrance fee, and you will need to bring 2 identical flies, one to fish with the other to turn into the judges. The Southern Nevada Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Las Vegas Fly Fishing club will be providing lunch after the tournament.

30k Trail Duathlon – Lap 1, Bike 16k – Lap 2, Run 14k
28k Trail Run – Run 14k each lap
Enter as Solo (individual) or a Team Relay (2 person teams only).

*Team members will sign up individually but must enter the same team name during registration.

3/23/19 – Solo $90, Relay $75 per entrant

Race Day registration 5:30-7am, $95 Solo, Relay $80 per entrant**

**Race Day registration will be available one hour prior to race start only, entry will increase by $5 and no guarantee of race event hat.

The 30k duathlon will be mountain bike the first lap, 10.1 miles (16k), then run the second lap, 8.75 miles (14k). Participants can enter the 30k Trail Duathlon as an individual, compete in it solo, or with a teammate, relay. Maximum number of participants for each team is 2. *Sign up individually but must fill in the same team name!

For the 28k Trail Run, the running course is again slightly different then the bike course and will also be 2 laps, each lap approximately 8.75 miles (14k x 2 = 28k).


Each participant will receive:

A Custom Race Event Trucker Hat
A Custom Race Event Finishers Medal
Food and Drinks before, throughout, and after race.
Awards to the Top 3 Overall Finishers in each category
30k Trail Duathlon Solo
30k Trail Duathlon Relay
28k Trail Run Solo
28k Trail run Relay.
Bib Number placed in Raffle Can for a chance at some Raffle Prizes.
*Poker Run
*The course will have designated spots to collect poker chips for your Poker enjoyment. Collect 5 different colored poker chips allow each course (bike and runners course) and each lap for your hand at winning the Poker Run challenge, no additional fee, just something fun added to the event. An example would be, if you compete as a solo, then you collect 5 poker chips for lap 1 for poker hand #1, then collect 5 again for hand #2. Two chances at winning! If competing as a relay, each teammate will collect their own poker chips for their own poker hand.
