Mikel J. Conrad Bio: Mikel J. Conrad is the owner of Mikel’s Photography & Design for the past 15 years & a professional photographer for 25 years.  Mikel has lived in Henderson since he was 2 years old. He married the girl next door and together they raised their four kids in their hometown. Mikel’s life time residency has allowed him to love and cherish his community. Mikel, along with his 3 sons are all Eagle Scouts. He has served in the scouting & young men’s program within the LDS Church for over 35 years. He has a love for the outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing & doing landscape photography. Mikel’s Mother has born in Pioche, so he knows the area and has spent many years at his grandmother’s home and camping here.

Mikel worked as the main photographer and studio manager at Photography by Van in Las Vegas for 10 years.  From there, Mikel opened his own studio, Mikel’s Photography & Design, in 2004.  Specializing in family, high school senior and executive portraits, in the studio or on location, Mikel is considered, by many, to be the BEST portrait photographer in the valley.  Mikel has also taught Basic Photography at CSN for 2 semesters.

Mikel’s Photography & Design has been described by clients as being the friendliest, most relaxed and creative environment to have your portraits taken in. With 25 years of experience, Mikel has developed a passion for capturing each individual’s true character in every image to tell their story.

In this fast-paced world, everyone knows someone with a camera that can take a decent picture. These images taken and given to you on a CD might make it on to Facebook or Instagram, but then what? What about those milestone moments? Those family gatherings don’t happen as frequently as you’d like. HS Graduations, etc. These moments should be art pieces rightfully displayed on the walls of your home, to enjoy longer than a few days online.
