Spring Valley State Park Pioche NV 89043
Kids of all ages are invited to Spring Valley State Park to learn all about Nevada’s most feared reptile, the rattlesnake.
The event takes place July 27 at 10 a.m. at the day-use area in the park. Participants will learn how to recognize a rattlesnake, what to do if they encounter one and why the snakes are important to our environment. To finish the morning off, each kid will get a chance to make a rattlesnake. Small children should be accompanied by a chaperone and all children should bring drinking water.
The program is free. However, a park entrance fee of $5 does apply. An annual-day use pass for all Nevada State Parks is available for $75.
