Lincoln County is open and welcome to visitors for responsible outdoor recreation. From hiking trails to ghost towns to offroading, biking, camping and UFOing, there’s plenty of ways to explore and stay safe during the pandemic. Here’s what you need to know:
What is Lincoln County doing to promote health and safety during COVID-19?
Our top priority is health and safety. Lincoln County is home to five Nevada State Parks, which are open and following safety protocol to promote responsible recreation. Our local businesses are also adhering to CDC guidelines and directives from the governor’s office related to social distancing, hand washing and mask wearing.
How can visitors stay safe while visiting Lincoln County?
First and foremost, if you’re feeling sick, stay home. If you have recently tested positive for COVID-19, stay home. If you’re experiencing a fever, cough and/or shortness of breath, stay home and contact a medical provider.
If none of the above apply, we encourage you to come out and safely explore what Lincoln County has to offer. Here’s how you can protect yourself:
Keep 6 feet of distance between yourself and anyone outside of your household.
Wear a mask inside public buildings, and outdoors when it is not possible to keep 6 feet from others.
Avoid crowded areas and gatherings of 10 or more people.
Practice frequent hand-washing and/or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
If you or someone in your household is at high risk of severe illness from COVID-19, we advise you to take extra precaution to prevent exposure.
