DESCRIPTION:Save the Date! Carp Rodeo is scheduled for April 18\, 2026.\n\nCarp Rodeo is a fun\, all ages fishing derby that raises awareness of invasive species. Registration will start at 8:00am at Upper Pahranagat Lake day use area (Pahranagat NWR). Be sure to check back for more information and updated schedules.\n\nTentative schedule:8:00am: registration begins\n8:30am-11:30am: fishing! Catch the first\, most\, and/or biggest carp!! Fishing gear and bait courtesy of NDOW. 12 and older need a fishing license.\n12:00: fabulous awards and prizes (youth and adult categories) with the Western Habitat Improvement Network.\n\nNeed to take a break during the event? We will also have activity stations for everyone to learn more about wildlife and native species.
