Instructor: Shawn & Corrine Severn
Date: June 21, 2019 | Time: 8:30 p.m. | Cathedral Gorge State Park – Water Tower
Workshop Description: This workshop is designed as an introduction to taking “night sky” photographs and will focus on the basic camera settings and techniques to capture inspiring photographs at night. The workshop is meant for folks that want to learn the basics of photographing stars, using moon lighting, and using other lighting techniques to capture shots without a lot of post-processing of images. In practice, this will include taking wide-angle shots of the sky and foreground objects to highlight the stars and capture star trails. It will also demonstrate the use of various lighting options in your star shots. The goal is to capture a single shot that requires only minor editing with computer software. The workshop will meet in Cathedral Gorge State Park at the Water Tower at 8:30 PM on Friday (parking is available at the nearby C.C.C. Day Use Picnic area).
