From Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 6, Alamo is rolling out four days of non-stop events that bring neighbors, friends, and visitors together to celebrate our nation’s freedom in the most wholesome, joyful way imaginable.

🎯 Thursday, July 3: Kicking Things Off with Local Talent & Competition

The fun starts early with the 5th Annual Heat Scorcher Golf Tournament — a perfect warm-up for the weekend ahead. That evening, enjoy the spotlight at Alamo’s Got Talent or show off your skills at the Volleyball Tournament, both at the town park and church pavilion. It’s a night for laughter, cheering, and friendly competition — the kind of hometown fun that sets the tone for the weekend.

🎆 Friday, July 4: A Full Day of Patriotism & Play

Friday is absolutely packed, beginning bright and early with the Firecracker 5K Fun Run/Walk and the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Veterans Monument. Fuel up at the Community Breakfast before lining the streets for the beloved “Party Like It’s 1776” Parade, complete with floats, flags, and prizes for everything from “Most Patriotic” to “Best in Show.”

The day continues with games, crafts, a big water slide, and tournaments of every kind — cornhole, basketball, foot races, and even a Home Run Derby. Don’t miss the Community Dinner in the park, where pulled pork sandwiches and watermelon bring everyone together.

As the sun sets, the magic begins: a Glow-in-the-Dark Bike Parade, a spectacular fireworks show, and an outdoor dance party under the stars to close out the day in true Alamo style.

🐑 Saturday, July 5: Rodeo, Water Fun & Races

Saturday keeps the momentum going with Mutton Busting for the kids, a Slip ‘N Slide party at the park, and the thrilling Motorcycle & Quad Barrel Races at the rodeo grounds. Whether you’re watching or participating, there’s adrenaline and laughter for everyone.

🎖 Sunday, July 6: Honoring Traditions

The celebration wraps up on Sunday with a Flag Retirement Ceremony, a solemn and meaningful event hosted by Girl Scout Troop 386 — a beautiful reminder of the values that hold our community and our country together.
