A positive buzz exists among local business owners as they learn about and plan for new mountain biking trails under construction in Caliente.
A third in a series of workshops on the trails was held in Caliente Nov. 27-28, where businesses agreed on the need to work together to prepare, as the 40-mile trail system is constructed at Barnes Canyon and Kershaw-Ryan State Park.

The seventh annual Gingerbread Fun Run attracted 204 participants and 26 sponsors this year – the biggest year yet! Proceeds for the event went to support Pioche, Panaca, and Caliente Elementary Schools.
Step Outside, a popular outdoor recreation website, put three Lincoln County state parks in it’s top nine winter camping spots in Nevada. Congrats Cathedral Gorge, Echo Canyon, and Spring Valley State Parks.
